For coaches

Your Gym tab: coaching from your phone

Prep for class, everyone's weights, the cheatsheet, your notes on each athlete, and how the gym is training.

Gym home

As a coach or owner, you have a fifth tab: Gym (the building icon). Its home page shows Today's class, an Athletes search, How's my gym?, this week's summary and Quick actions: Post an announcement, Give an award and Cheatsheet. Manage leads to Programming and Athletes.

The same page is Gym home on the web, at app.wodwiz.com.

Tip: Want to see the app the way your members do? Profile → Settings → View as an athlete. The Gym tab hides until you switch it back off.

Prep for class

Tap Today's class (or the Prep for class banner on Today). You get every piece of the day, top to bottom, with its intent, time cap and percentage scheme, plus a Heads up list of members a coach flagged in their notes.

When a piece is programmed as a percentage, Weights for everyone works out each member's weight from their own max, so you can call numbers on the floor. Members without a max for that lift are listed separately.

The cheatsheet

Gym home → Cheatsheet has three floor tools: a Plate loader that draws the loaded bar, Erg pace from Concept2's own formulas, and Cardio swaps between any machines, men's and women's.

Your athletes

Search from Gym home, or open Athletes for everyone. Tap a person to see your Coach notes first, then their top lifts (tested or estimated, and labeled which), recent PRs and when they last opened WodWiz.

Coach notes are for injuries, limitations and context. Only coaches and the owner can read them, never the member. Tap Show in Prep on a note to put that person on Prep's Heads up list for one to four weeks; it drops off on its own.

How's my gym?

Plain facts about your gym's training: how many members trained this week and in recent weeks, who hasn't trained in two weeks (so you can check in), the month's most active members and its PRs.

Still stuck? In the app, Profile → Settings → Report a problem, or see Support.
