Lyla
A descending 10-to-1 couplet of muscle-ups and bodyweight-relative clean and jerks, structurally similar to Linda but built around gymnastics and Olympic lifting rather than powerlifting-style strength.

Movements in this workout
Scaling
Scaled
Lay-back rope pulls from the floor or towel pull-ups for the climbs; a barbell load that cycles in sets of 5+.
Beginner
Ring rows and light barbell cycling. Save actual rope climbs for a skill session — grip fails suddenly, not gradually.
The story
A newer addition to the Girls series pairing barbell cycling with rope climbs — a combination of grip-heavy skill work and load that the original Girls never used, reflecting how the movement pool has grown since 2003. Part of CrossFit's original 'Girls' benchmark series — named workouts introduced by founder Greg Glassman starting in 2003, on the logic that anything that leaves you flat on your back deserves a name like a storm. They serve as repeatable fitness tests: revisit one every few months and the clock tells you whether you're fitter. First posted to CrossFit.com on 2021-01-07.
