30 snatches for time at a fixed barbell weight — Grace's more technical cousin, trading raw speed for the added skill demand of the snatch's overhead catch.

Scaling
Scaled
95/65 lb power snatches, singles from the floor. The snatch degrades fastest under fatigue of any lift — scale until 30 crisp reps is realistic.
Beginner
Empty bar or light dumbbell, 20-30 reps, as technique practice under a gentle clock. A PVC-to-empty-bar progression session beats a sloppy timed effort.
The story
Grace's twin: the same thirty reps and the same barbell, but snatched instead of clean-and-jerked. Technique degrades faster overhead, which is exactly the test — elite athletes finish in under 2 minutes, but only with a snatch that survives a red-lined heart rate. Part of CrossFit's original 'Girls' benchmark series — named workouts introduced by founder Greg Glassman starting in 2003, on the logic that anything that leaves you flat on your back deserves a name like a storm. They serve as repeatable fitness tests: revisit one every few months and the clock tells you whether you're fitter. First posted to CrossFit.com on 2004-11-11.
